Our Mission:

Seesaw Communities is a non-profit organization dedicated to adults with developmental disabilities. The name ‘seesaw’ is inspired by the playground equipment that requires at least two riders to function, symbolizing the balance and cooperation needed between individuals. This reflects the organization’s vision of creating inclusive spaces where people with and without disabilities can interact and enjoy activities together, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

Core Values

Fostering Inclusive Work Opportunities

Seesaw Communities takes the person-centered approach, supporting the belief that anybody can work as long as they find the job that fits their strengths and needs. Under the people-focused approach, Seesaw Communities promotes the principle of self-determination, working alongside people with developmental disabilities and encouraging them to choose their desired employment.

Expanding Employment Opportunities and Work Experience

Seesaw Communities utilizes innovation to enhance traditional models of employment training and support services through entrepreneurial ventures and business location sites. Through innovation, Seesaw Communities provides a hands-on approach to work experience through community integration or employment training on open job sites.

Nurturing and Sustaining Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

Seesaw Communities applies pivot to all its decisions, priding itself in its agility to change direction and adapt to the changing circumstances, people, and climate that its community goes through. Pivot is also the principle used for providing ongoing and lifetime support to people with developmental disabilities.

Global Empowerment and Inclusive Employment

Seesaw Communities aims to reproduce its model of employment training and supportive services all over the world, wherever there are people who would benefit from it. Through replication, Seesaw Communities also seeks to partner with other businesses in the community in order to provide more opportunities for employment and effective community integration for individuals with developmental disabilities.

It's right next to a church. It is very spacious and very good service!
we enjoy bringing our own food here with their coffee. There is grass and kids play area. Very nice for family to relax here.

Recently moved to West Covina and so glad I found my new favorite coffee shack nestled amongst a plant-filled oasis. Oat latte was amazing and plenty of comfy seating to choose from. I'll be a regular here for sure!
